On September 30, 2022, Kristianstad's Badrike was inaugurated, a swimming facility with all the possibilities a state-of-the-art facility has. Badriket consists of several different parts, each fulfilling an important function:

• Waterland: Pools and water attractions for all ages. Here, families and friends gather in their free time to have fun together.
• Exercise Pool: A whole pool room dedicated solely to exercise and training.
• Training Pool: A room with full energy where clubs and schools book their training times. Here, there are all the conditions to conduct training at the highest level.
• Warm Water Pools: Badriket has three pools with adjustable bottoms, allowing for many different types of activities such as swimming school, baby swimming, water training, and rehab.
• Relaxation Area: Badriket's pride is our beautiful relaxation area. Here, people meet to relax in the sauna landscape and warm pools. Our sauna operations are constantly being developed, and our aufguss is of very high quality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The swimming attendant's area of responsibility is broad, requiring good knowledge and understanding of all operations in Badriket. We work in different roles and apply our personal competencies.

Swimming Instructor/Service Attendant: With swimming pedagogy, you create a pleasant atmosphere and activity in the family pool and exercise pool. You have the opportunity to make each day unique. Swimming instructors are also responsible for conducting baby swimming, swimming classes for children and adults, water training, and pool parties. As a swimming instructor, you also work as a service attendant, where you plan, develop, and carry out cleaning at Badriket. You ensure that our guests are welcomed by a clean facility and demonstrate that we are always present and helpful.

Relaxation Attendant/Reception: The relaxation department has a wide range of different types of saunas and pools. With imagination and creativity, you will develop the sauna operations together with your colleagues. You will create a place where our guests escape their daily lives to experience something extraordinary. In the reception, you provide good service to our guests, which requires extensive knowledge of Badriket's operations.

During the summer, we operate six outdoor swimming pools in Kristianstad Municipality, and working at these is included in the position. The work as a swimming attendant may involve heavy lifting.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying need to be a good swimmer, and we want you to have swimming instructor training. Education in swimming, children and youth, service, community life, and/or the experience sector is also meritorious.

We want you to have documented work experience in swimming operations. If you have previously worked with children and youth or in service/sales, or have been a leader, instructor, or training instructor in community life, it is an advantage.

Furthermore, you need to communicate well in Swedish, and it is an advantage if you are multilingual. The work as a swimming attendant may involve heavy lifting, so you need to have good physical condition.

As a swimming attendant, it is important that you are social. You find it easy to talk to people and are not afraid to meet people in different situations. It is important that you can take your own initiative and work solution-oriented. You enjoy working with a lot of freedom but at the same time feel a great responsibility for your tasks, especially to maintain a pleasant environment in a safe swimming facility.

If you are offered employment, you must present an extract from the national police register according to the provisions of the law (2013:852) on background checks for work that involves direct and regular contact with children.

OTHER

The Culture and Leisure Administration is responsible for the municipality's investments in areas such as libraries, swimming and sports facilities, Kristianstad Theater, Kulturhuset Barbacka, Kulturkvarteret, youth centers, and community grants. We work across a broad field and currently have about 100 employees within the operations.
