About the job

As an analyst in the Economic Analysis unit, you will focus on the work of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (FI) within macroprudential supervision and financial stability. You will participate in and produce fundamental analyses of vulnerabilities in the household and corporate sectors, as well as work on other types of in-depth analyses and reports. Additionally, you will be involved in producing internal memos, ongoing monitoring of the external environment, and participating in the analysis of macro-financial policy issues.

Your role also includes contributing to the development of analysis of financial stability risks. This may involve participating in the work on FI's stability report as well as working on macro-financial analysis, which means examining the link between the real economy and the financial system with a focus on the banking sector and lending. Furthermore, you will participate in efforts to streamline data management and usage, as well as develop and continuously monitor measurable indicators. You will also have close contact with colleagues in other parts of the authority and with contacts and tasks related to international organizations.

Your education and experience

We are looking for someone who

  • holds a master's degree or higher in economics, financial economics, or a related field
  • is accustomed to presenting and communicating analysis and conclusions both verbally and in writing
  • expresses themselves very well in both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing.

It is advantageous if you

  • have an understanding of economic analysis methods
  • have some years of experience in economic analysis work
  • have a good understanding of monetary and fiscal policy
  • have a good understanding of the financial system and its connection to the economy
  • have good skills in using statistical and analysis software.
