What does the role include?

As a technical writer at Svekon, you will be involved in development projects at an early stage and be responsible for creating clear and functional instruction manuals. You will work with both text and images and be in direct dialogue with Svekon's clients to ensure that the documentation meets their requirements and needs. Your tasks will vary between updating existing instruction manuals and creating entirely new ones, depending on the project's size and complexity.

You will use tools such as Adobe Framemaker, Illustrator, and Photoshop to both create new and improve existing documentation. A large part of your work involves being responsive to the client's wishes.

Examples of tasks:

• Create and update instruction manuals for products and systems.

• Produce images and illustrate technical processes.

• Work closely with the client to understand their needs and requirements, and implement these in the documentation.

• Collaborate with product developers and engineers to produce accurate and useful documentation.

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least 2 years of experience working in a similar role

• A post-secondary education as a technical writer, technical communicator, or other equivalent education

• Experience working with text and image editing programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, or Framemaker

• Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have:

• More than 5 years of experience working in a similar role

• Experience working as a consultant

• Experience working in technical development projects, preferably within the defense industry
