Botkyrka Municipality is the sixth largest municipality in Stockholm County and consists of the districts Alby, Fittja, Hallunda, Norsborg, Tullinge, Tumba, Vårsta, and Grödinge. Botkyrka Municipality has approximately 95,000 inhabitants and over 6,400 employees.

The Social Administration provides support to the residents of Botkyrka and is responsible for authority exercise, primarily according to the Social Services Act. The support is for both individuals and relatives. The Social Administration has a special responsibility for children, young people, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. We are about 500 employees who provide support to the residents of Botkyrka in an equal, fair, and safe manner using strength-based methods.

The position and job responsibilities

Hello Social Worker! We are now looking for a new colleague in the Investigation of Children and Young People 3 as one of our employees will go on parental leave.

We are one of four units that investigate concerns in families with children aged 0-18 years. Your job with us is to investigate children's needs for protection and support after receiving a report of concern or application for support. If there is a need for support from social services, you will plan this together with the child/young person and their parents, and you will then follow up on the current interventions. An important part of your work involves building relationships and motivating positive change to find individual solutions.

Some of your tasks with us will include:

• Talking with children and parents about their experiences of their situation and the resources they possess
• Collaborating with the family's private and professional network to work together for the child's best
• Systematically and continuously documenting your work in the operational system Lifecare
• Cooperating with the municipality's open care in teams around our children, young people, and their families

With us, 20 social workers work with investigations and follow-ups of both open care and placements. We have three senior social workers who lead the daily work, a unit manager, an administrator, and a case support, and we work closely together.

You who are applying to us

To be considered for the position, you must have a degree in social work and several years of experience in investigative work with children and young people. Experience from previous work in social services and authority exercise is a requirement. As you will be moving around in your work, you also need a B driver's license.

You can see relationships in their proper perspective, distinguish between the personal and professional, and relate in a way that is adapted to the situation. The work requires you to be able to quickly adjust, change perspectives and approaches, and see opportunities for change. Therefore, it is important that you, as an employee and colleague, have a realistic perspective on different situations and can focus on the right things.

We are looking for someone who is curious, positive, flexible, and enjoys working in pairs in a unit with much knowledge, experience, flexibility, and humor.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Training in Signs of Safety, BBIC, and MI
• Experience with the operational system Lifecare

The unit works in a team-based manner, and therefore good collaboration skills are a prerequisite for succeeding in your assignment. You are structured and can plan your work independently and have the ability to be flexible and solution-focused in your daily work.
