Role Overview:
Application Hosting is seeking a Group Operations Manager (GOM) to oversee the governance and operation of X86 hardware, VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Hyper Converged Infrastructure, and Container infrastructure services. This role entails end-to-end responsibility for these services, ensuring they are delivered according to contracted obligations. The Service Leader will collaborate with other Service Leaders within the application hosting sub-portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full lifecycle of X86 hardware and Virtualization infrastructure services.
• Propose policies, directives, strategic directions, long-term plans, and roadmaps for these services.
• Serve as the subject matter expert in interactions with customer, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Drive innovation and lead the development of services based on prioritized business requirements.
• Continuously promote service offerings to optimize usage and deliver maximum value to the business.
• Manage the content of the X86 hardware and Virtualization infrastructure services catalogue and deliveries.
• Provide input to contractual negotiations to modify, clarify, or optimize services provided by suppliers.
• Monitor actual service levels, ensure they align with targeted levels, and manage corrective actions with the supplier.
• Participate in runtime process interactions with the customer, including releases and deployments oversight.
• Manage the commercial aspects of services delivered, including budgeting, follow-up, and approving all service volumes invoiced to the customer.
Service Owners will take accountable for ensuring –
- Product / Tech roadmap aligned with OEMs product roadmap release
- Yearly upgrade calendar for end-to-end service (Service owner will drive all upgrades for their product)
- Software release management as per contract - 6 months after vendor release ready for ordering
- Infra asset hardware refresh every 5th year / end of OEM support
- Budgeting for hardware / software and manpower for software or hardware refresh
- Planning and tracking all products / asset to ensure they are refreshed in a timely manner
- Meets the defined measurements agreed for Lifecycle activities
- Manage the content of the X86 hardware and virtualization infrastructure residing in the Gothenburg Data Center.
- Oversee the X86 hardware and engage necessary stakeholders offshore as needed.
- Remediate Vulnerability Backlog and remove vulnerability's according to key measurements
- Strong personality and communication skills, capable of managing many different stakeholders.
- Ability to meet agreed targets, deadlines, and goals
- Ability to quickly comprehend the capabilities of new technologies.
- Ability to build and maintain trustful working relationships with stakeholders, peers, external partners, and colleagues.
- Competence in managing enterprise-level infrastructure solutions.
- Experience in managing relationships and negotiations with IT suppliers.
- Good experience in infrastructure operation and management according to ITIL processes.
- Good experience in product management.
