Siljansnäs Hotell changed ownership in 2021 and underwent extensive renovations before reopening in May of the same year. The development of both the property and hotel operations remains a focus, and we work daily to create the best hotel experience for our guests.
Our vision is to be one of Dalarna's most memorable hotel experiences, where food is at the center in symbiosis with the beautiful view the hotel offers. This includes excellent service, fresh and spacious rooms, activities around the hotel stay, and a wide and well-thought-out beverage selection.
We are currently looking for a head chef for either the summer season or a year-round position.
As a head chef, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant kitchen during dinner service. There are a total of two to three people in the kitchen team depending on the season. During the summer, we serve lunch and dinner on a daily basis. The remaining parts of the year, the opening hours vary partly depending on the season. During certain periods, we are only open on weekends.
We primarily seek someone who has experience in a similar role but are also open to a chef with several years of experience who is ready to step up into a responsible role. You will have the opportunity to create quality food on a smaller scale and have a significant impact. We, the owners of the hotel, Erik and Jonas, are both actively involved in the daily operations of all hotel departments. Our main background is in restaurant service.
We highly value qualities such as being economical, long-term oriented, and cooperative. You need to be fluent in Swedish or English, both spoken and written. If you are interested in eventually becoming a co-owner of the business, there are good opportunities for that. We value long-term commitment and would like to financially benefit our key personnel.
You will be responsible for purchasing, inventory, planning, and scheduling, and you will have a financial responsibility linked to that. We apply a favorable performance-based bonus system; if you deliver well with us, we are more than happy to share the rewards.
The job starts in May/June and runs full-time on a year-round basis. However, only summer season or part-time can also be interesting. We apply year-round employment, which means that the number of hours varies from month to month while you have a fixed monthly salary. If you prefer to work hourly or invoice through your own company, we are open to that.
