We are looking for a psychologist for a temporary position
We are looking for a psychologist for a one-year temporary position at our outpatient clinic for young adults.
Stockholm Center for Eating Disorders (SCÄ) is one of the largest specialist clinics in the world for patients with eating disorders and receives patients of all ages. We have a well-developed operation with outpatient care, day care, and inpatient care for both adults, children, and adolescents. Today we are about 250 employees, we have expanded significantly during 2024 and will continue to do so in 2025. From March 2025, all three of our inpatient care departments will be located at Danderyd Hospital while outpatient care remains in Södermalm, Stockholm.

The outpatient care for young adults is a newly established unit that treats patients aged 16 to 25 with eating disorder issues and, in some cases, other psychiatric comorbidities. Our clinic works from a holistic perspective and offers evidence-based treatment CBT-E, which is a specific treatment method designed for patients with eating disorder diagnoses. Treatment can occur individually, in groups, and with network members and family.
You will encounter a wide range of diagnoses, making the work stimulating and educational. The work involves treating eating disorders and other psychiatric diagnoses. The position includes both patient contacts, administrative tasks, and collaboration with other care providers.
We want to collaborate closely in our newly established unit within our interdisciplinary team consisting of doctors, nurses, and dietitians.

Job responsibilities:
Your main job responsibilities will be to conduct psychological treatment work primarily individually, but possibly also in groups. The tasks also include clinical assessments and collaboration with SCÄ's other units such as outpatient care for children and inpatient care. You will participate in treatment conferences, supervision, and method development together with other staff in the unit.
Employment form:
Temporary position for 1 year. Full-time, 40 hours/week.
Qualifications:
You are a licensed psychologist with a focus on CBT. It is an advantage if you have experience in eating disorder care, CBT-E, clinical assessment, and differential diagnosis.
Personal qualities:
You have a strong interest in evidence-based care, good collaboration skills, are responsible, efficient, and passionate about developing as a psychologist. You are empathetic and confident in meeting people with disabling psychiatric issues. Curiosity and the ability to find solutions are important qualities. - employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required, in addition to Swedish professional licensing. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
