VO Acute

VO Acute includes emergency reception for adults and urgent care for children and adults.

With us, administrative staff, nursing assistants, nurses, temporary junior doctors, resident doctors, specialist doctors in emergency medicine, and general medicine work together. We receive 150-200 patients of all ages daily, with everything from wounds and minor fractures to sepsis alarms and cardiac arrests. We are an emergency department with a distinct emergency care mindset, where the patient's flow from admission to discharge is at the center. For most of the day, we work in a non-linear flow where patients are sorted based on how sick they are rather than which organ specialty they belong to. We work in care teams with close collaboration between nursing staff and doctors, where each employee is an important part of the whole.

As a nurse, you have overall responsibility for assessment, triage, and performing nursing actions, medication administration, and sampling. In the emergency area, you have a varied job where you switch between our different workstations: emergency reception, urgent care, and reception.

Your qualifications:

Requirements:
- Licensed nurse with the right to work in Swedish healthcare.
- You have at least one year of experience working as a nurse in emergency care.

Meritorious:
- Specialist training in emergency care.
- Training in TNCC and AMLS.

Employment form:

Permanent employment, full-time or as agreed.

As a nurse in a 24/7 operation, working time agreements apply with the possibility of retention bonuses (in time) and reduced weekly working hours for night work. If you work concentrated weekends and more scheduled nights, you also have the opportunity for additional earned time that can be taken out in free time, money, or pension savings.
