Background
The National Museum is a government agency with approximately 160 employees tasked with promoting art, art interest, and art science. The museum's collections include paintings, sculptures, drawings, and graphics from the 16th century to the turn of the 20th century, while the collections of applied arts and design, as well as portrait art, extend to the present day. The collections are displayed in the main building on Blasieholmen and at around 20 other visitor destinations, including Gripsholm Castle, Läckö Castle, Nationalmuseum Jamtli in Östersund, and Gustavsberg Porcelain Museum. The National Museum also conducts exhibition, program, research, and publication activities.
The National Museum is now looking for an engaged Property Manager who wants to develop and lead property management in a unique and creative environment. The property function is part of the operations unit at the National Museum, which is included in the administration department.
Your role
As a Property Manager, you are the agency's contact person with our landlords, tenants, and operations within your area of responsibility. You plan, lead, and follow up on agreements for operations and maintenance together with the team working with property management. You will steer and lead operational adaptation projects according to the requirements set by the operations and together with property owners according to budget.
The position is located in the property function, which currently has 5 employees, and you report to and work closely with the Operations Manager who has personnel responsibility. You will be based at the National Museum's premises on Blasieholmen.
Who are you?
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education with a focus on property management, property economics, or equivalent
- Several years of experience in project management and operational adaptations
- Several years of experience in contract follow-up and rental law within operations and maintenance
- Several years of experience in renegotiating lease agreements
- Several years of experience in budget and forecasting work
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
Meritorious
- Experience in procurement and LOU
- Experience working with commercial properties
- Experience working with cultural heritage buildings

You have a strong drive, high engagement, and an unpretentious approach with the ability to structure and prioritize your work.
