Job Responsibilities

At the Department of Robotics, Perception, and Learning (RPL), research is conducted in computer vision, robotics, and machine learning.

The Laboratory for Geometric Robot Learning at RPL is now seeking a postdoctoral researcher in robotics and geometric machine learning. The successful candidate will work on robot learning and control algorithms based on differential geometry and physics-informed priors to enable data-efficient and safe generation of robot movements and for robot manipulation with strong guarantees. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research at the highest international level and supervise master's students.

Qualifications

Requirements

PhD degree or foreign degree deemed equivalent to a PhD. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled by the time the employment decision is made.
Research expertise in robotics, machine learning, and/or control.
Outstanding research and publication record.
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong programming skills.
Very good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken), as the language is required in daily work.

Meritorious

At the time of the application deadline, no more than three years since the PhD degree or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a PhD was obtained.
Background in differential geometry.
Experience with real robots.
Ability to collaborate.
Independence in your work.
Teaching ability.
Awareness of diversity and equal treatment issues with a particular focus on gender equality.
