About the Position

Welcome to an important role as a resource for one or more students in need of targeted adult support throughout all or parts of the school day. The position involves providing support to one or more students both inside and outside the classroom. You will work in a class where you, together with the class teacher, contribute to creating a clear and accessible learning environment.

Job Description

You will work as a resource in a class for grades 4-6. Your mission will be to contribute to increased goal fulfillment every day by creating clarity, security, and good conditions for learning for one or more individual students. You will have close collaboration with the class teacher who is responsible for lesson planning. During lesson time, you will work as a support in teaching either in the classroom, in a smaller group, or individually with a student depending on the content of the lesson. You will also function as a support during transitions throughout the school day and during recess.

The work includes ongoing supervision by a special educator or counselor.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who...

• Has experience in pedagogical work.
• Has competence and experience working with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities.
• Has a low-arousal approach.
• Is clear and secure and has a good ability to create trusting relationships.

About the Workplace

Frötuna School is a F-6 school with about 260 students and 40 staff. It is the small school that has grown in recent years. Even though we have become more, the relationships between both staff and students remain close. At Frötuna School, we work with a special focus on stimulating and challenging teaching for all students, with a particular focus on reading, writing, and arithmetic. This school year, we have launched a math lab at the school. Something that distinguishes us is our work with adventure pedagogy, which every grade F-3 works with for one morning a week. We also systematically work with recess activities, an important part of the school's safety work.

Employment Type

Part-time. Fixed-term employment until June 18. Start as soon as possible, no later than April 7. Selection and interviews will be conducted continuously during the advertising period.
