Unit Manager for the Information Management Unit

Description

The focus of the Digitalization and Development Department (DUA) is to drive the development of the Swedish Migration Agency's processes and capabilities through innovation and digitalization.

Through cohesive process management and business development (both with and without IT components), we work to increase the efficiency and quality of the Swedish Migration Agency's operations.

DUA consists of four sections.

The Section for Strategy and Information Management consists of two units. The Information Management Unit has the following functions and areas of responsibility:

• Strategy function
• Management of contracts and licenses for the department
• Information management (including agency archivists and agency registrars)
• Integration management

Job Responsibilities

You have personnel, budget, and work environment responsibility for a unit of about 20 employees that you lead and develop towards set goals. As a unit manager, you are responsible for leading the operations of your unit, where goal fulfillment, a good work environment, and development are prioritized highly. As a leader, you create conditions for a developing and positive work climate that enables employees to grow in their roles and carry out their assignments in the best possible way. You harness and strengthen the drive that exists among employees through participation, engagement, and focus on our applicants. You report to the Section Head and are part of the section's management team. In the management team work, you contribute to the continuous development of the operations from the section's holistic perspective.

You perform your duties in close collaboration with various functions and teams within DUA, but also in very close cooperation with functions outside DUA.

Qualifications

As a manager, you should have good communication skills and find it easy to develop various collaborations. You have an interest in analyzing and driving issues that fall within the unit's area of responsibility, in order to be able to support their implementation in the ongoing operations.

For the Information Management Unit, you should have documented experience in working with both business development, agency strategies, digitalization, procurement, inter-agency collaboration, and information management.

Requirements

• A university degree that the employer deems relevant for the position or other education in combination with relevant experience.
• Current managerial experience with responsibility for budget, work environment, and personnel.
• Experience in business development and information management.
• Ability to express yourself very well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
