Your way to impact

This role is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Android Developer to work on impactful technical challenges together with talented peers in a cross-functional agile team. You will create modern digital products that affect people’s lives for the better within PayPal globally.

Your day to day

  • You will help to deliver high quality solutions to our users.
  • You will work as part of an agile team, planning, refining, delivering and inspecting sprint deliveries.
  • You work closely with product and design to understand context and vision.
  • You will learn and work with your peers in the Android chapter to make incremental platform improvements and increase learning opportunities for all in a supportive environment.

What you need to succeed

  • Good experience in Android development, with good knowledge of Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with Android SDK and various Android frameworks and understand how to leverage them effectively to build robust Android applications.
  • Understanding of common architectural patterns such as MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Jenkins to streamline the build, test, and deployment process.
  • Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code with a focus on code quality and experience with unit testing, integration testing, and UI testing.
  • Keen interest in keeping up to date with the latest technological development.
  • You bring curiosity and energy to your work.
  • You bring a desire to create fantastic outcomes for users.
  • You are at ease sharing your knowledge, experience and opinions, but also appreciate input from your peers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
