About the workplace
The main task of the IT department is to provide IT services to the entire Police Authority. The IT department is an important part of crime prevention and law enforcement work, and IT is one of the most important tools to streamline the police and improve the quality of police work.
Within the section for Intelligence Systems, we have overall responsibility for the development and maintenance of system support for the police's intelligence service. We are also responsible for collecting and making available information about the movement patterns of criminals, as well as providing support to analysts throughout the police operations.
Our goal is to provide the best possible systems that streamline and facilitate our end-users' daily work. The systems we build should be modern, user-friendly, and stable. Development takes place using agile methods, new technologies, and tools, where laws and security requirements place high demands on our products. The complex needs to be made simple.
