The Pulmonary Medicine Clinic at the university hospital in Linköping is the competence center for pulmonary medicine in the Southeastern healthcare region, conducting diagnostics and treatment of diseases in the lungs, mediastinum, pleura, and bronchi.

The clinic includes a reception where doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, dietitians, nursing assistants, and administrative staff work. The clinic has about seventy employees.

At the pulmonary medicine reception, there are several different units that work with the investigation of lung cancer, bronchoscopy, chemotherapy, oxygen therapy, COPD, home ventilator treatment, sarcoidosis, cystic fibrosis, transplantation, and other interstitial lung diseases. There is also a radiology unit.

We are now looking for a nurse for our specialized unit as one of the unit's nurses is moving on to another assignment.

In the unit, we meet patients with COPD, fibrosis, and sarcoidosis. The work includes conducting nurse visits, providing advice via TeleQ, preparing patients for doctor visits with various tests and examinations, including spirometry. You will have significant responsibility for planning your schedule. As a newcomer, you will receive an individual introduction. We believe that a tailored start leads to a confident employee. At the reception, we work daytime 40 hours per week, with no weekends or public holidays.

Job Description

When you feel secure with the various tasks in the unit, the idea is for you to become the contact nurse focusing on obstructive lung diseases and have primary responsibility for this patient group. There is a COPD team at the clinic consisting of doctors, physiotherapists, dietitians, social workers, and nurses. If interested, there is also the opportunity to become a transplant nurse or rotate to another unit at the reception one day a week.

Work Group

In the unit, there is 1 nurse and 1 nursing assistant. There is a good atmosphere in the unit.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse.

As you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

You have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive work environment with a positive attitude. You are meticulous and quality-conscious and have a desire to develop the operations. You reflect, discuss your knowledge and contributions, and are open to giving and receiving feedback. The position suits you who enjoy collaborating, are attentive, and communicative with both colleagues, patients, and relatives.
