At the hand and plastic surgery clinic, our 2 departments have merged into a single unit that provides care and rehabilitation in hand surgery, plastic surgery, and burn injuries – in other words, we meet the needs of all the clinic's patients!

The clinic has 3 national assignments (NHVe assignments); burn injuries, gender dysphoria, and peripheral facial paresis. In our inpatient department, you will meet all these patients as well as hand and other plastic surgery patients. We have 4 operating rooms in the inpatient department where our hospitalized burn patients are operated on, which means that you as a physiotherapist will be involved both before and after surgeries and during dressings. We work person-centered and our major focus areas within specific nursing care are wound care, nutrition, rehabilitation, and pain management.

Job Description

We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist to the hand and plastic surgery clinic with the Burn Injury Center. The unit works with highly specialized rehabilitation of patients occurring in the clinic; hand, plastic, and burn patients. The work with us is carried out in multiprofessional teams. As a licensed physiotherapist, you will work with rehabilitation of outpatient and inpatient patients, as well as, in a team with CIVA's physiotherapists, also intensive care patients.

Common tasks include:

• Rehabilitation for intensive care and burn care.
• Advanced postoperative mobilization.
• Supervision of students
• Educational responsibility
• Testing and prescribing aids
• Physiotherapeutic respiratory care

About You

You are a licensed physiotherapist. It is an advantage if you have experience in physiotherapy within intensive care and/or surgical care. You enjoy working in teams and finding solutions with other professional categories.

As a person, you have empathetic ability, the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation without taking over the person's feelings. You work well with others, relate to them in a responsive and smooth way, and listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. Furthermore, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your task, structure your approach independently, and drive your processes forward. You can plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively and set and maintain deadlines.
