Our Offer
For life ahead. Region Östergötland has high ambitions and a responsible mission. It is about health and care, about the development of our region, and about those who live and stay here. We want to continue to be at the forefront, with care, research, and education. This means daring to think differently – and having the best employees. Therefore, we offer unique opportunities for further learning and invest in modern environments with effective systems and tools. Many of us meet patients and relatives, while others create the conditions for life-saving interventions. With us, fantastic people work towards the same goal – to make a real difference, and for life ahead.
The Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic is responsible for specialized neurological rehabilitation and receives patients with acquired brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. Patients sometimes come at an early stage after acute illness or injury to begin primary rehabilitation, but they also come later in the process. Rehabilitation at the intermediate care level (RIMA) may also occur, aimed at patients who have a need for monitoring or are respiratory care-dependent with simultaneous rehabilitation needs. We provide specialized care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. We have adapted facilities to stimulate and challenge patients; for example, a training session can be conducted in our gym or combined with outdoor activities on our beautiful terrace.
Our catchment area encompasses the entire Southeast healthcare region. We work for close collaboration with other organizations such as neurology, neurosurgery, primary care, and municipalities. We are a university hospital unit with pride in our expertise in neurological rehabilitation. Research and development constitute a significant part of the clinic's work.
Here you can read about our career ladder for occupational therapists and also about your benefits with us.
