Safety Advisor for Hazardous Goods

In this exciting time of change, LedR is now looking for a Safety Advisor for hazardous goods, an exciting position with challenges and great opportunities for development and renewal in line with the Armed Forces' changing role and task to grow.

About the Unit

The LedR garrison unit is responsible for maintaining the garrison's common resources and activities. This is done through coordination and functional management at the garrison level and by providing support to the commander of LedR, who is also the commander of the Enköping garrison.

Main Responsibilities

  • Functionally lead the subject area of hazardous goods transport, as well as related areas.
  • Assist in preventing risks to people, property, and the environment arising from the Armed Forces' activities.
  • Under the responsibility of the operational management, develop methods and routines that facilitate the implementation of operations and the subject area of hazardous goods transport.
  • To coordinate, lead, and conduct training within ADR with managers and other personnel. In connection with exercises and operations, conduct compliance checks of regulations within the subject area.
  • To analyze the different roles individual units have within hazardous goods transport and LBE, as well as the training needs that exist within the organizational unit.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Graduated safety advisor for hazardous goods transport by road from MSB
  • Completed training for ADR instructors and passed with a satisfactory result, holding a valid ADR instructor certificate
  • Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
  • Experience of functional leadership responsibility
  • Driving license at least category *B*
  • Good computer skills

Meritorious

  • Experience and knowledge in BVKF and IFTEX (handling of flammable and explosive goods)
  • Experience as a safety advisor within the Armed Forces or another government agency or private company
  • Approved safety advisor for hazardous goods transport by rail, sea, and air from MSB
  • Current and relevant experience in leading training

Other

The position is a civilian permanent employment with a six-month probationary period where individual salary setting applies, the position is full-time. The workplace is in Enköping and business trips occur, mainly within Sweden. Start date is according to agreement.
