Medical Secretary at the Stockholm Center for Eating Disorders

As one of our medical secretaries is soon retiring, we are now looking for another colleague to join our team.

The Stockholm Center for Eating Disorders (SCÄ) is one of the largest specialist clinics in the world for patients with eating disorders, receiving patients of all ages. We have a well-developed operation with outpatient care, day care, and inpatient care for both adults, children, and adolescents. Today we have about 250 employees, we have expanded significantly during 2024 and will continue to do so in 2025. From March 2025, all three of our inpatient departments will be located at Danderyd Hospital while outpatient care remains in Södermalm, Stockholm.

Job Responsibilities:

As a medical secretary, you are an important part of the clinic. Your tasks include, in addition to journal documentation in TakeCare, handling referrals, reporting diagnosis and procedure codes, rescheduling and canceling patient appointments, reception work, as well as telephone service and cash handling. The work may also involve assisting with other regular office tasks. We expect you to enjoy having varied tasks and providing good service.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who is a trained medical secretary or medical administrative officer and preferably has experience working in psychiatry. You have good computer skills, preferably with knowledge of the journal system TakeCare, TeleQ, and the Office suite, as well as other systems. LSA training is an asset. The role includes introducing and training new employees, which means you need to have good pedagogical skills. You have excellent knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working both independently and in a team. You learn new things easily. You like having varied tasks and can prioritize and organize your work effectively, taking great responsibility for your assignments. You are flexible and attentive and have good communication skills. As a person, you are unpretentious and see the equal value of all individuals. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment Type:

Permanent position, daytime Monday-Friday. Full-time 39:30 hours/week.
