The Workers' Educational Association (ABF) is Sweden's leading study association. We are politically independent but share the labor movement's values of equality and democracy. Our mission is to be a force for change through popular education and create opportunities for people to grow through learning and education. One of our operational branches is to work in project form.

ABF Mitt i Lappland has offices in Tärnaby, Storuman, Sorsele, Vilhelmina, Dorotea, Åsele, Lycksele, Malå, and Norsjö. We work to strengthen the association life and create accessible popular education throughout the region.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with experience in association life and a good understanding of its structures and dynamics. You share the labor movement's values and can translate them into practical work.

The position involves goal-oriented working hours with great freedom under responsibility, which requires you to be flexible and adaptable. You need to be prepared to work varying hours, including evening meetings and events within the association life.

Qualifications and experience

• Experience in administrative work and development projects
• Structured and independent working style
• Creativity and initiative to develop the operations
• Good social skills and ability to collaborate
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Good technical knowledge, especially within the Office suite and Microsoft Teams
• A driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are required

Meritorious

• Experience with the administrative tool Gustav, used for study activities within all study associations, is meritorious.

• Experience working with social media.

As a business developer at ABF Mitt i Lappland, you will have a dynamic and varied role where you combine strategic development work with operational tasks. You will work closely with the association life to encourage, initiate, and implement popular education efforts. A large part of the work involves being responsible for outreach activities and administration.

The role also includes tasks where you meet and support people in their educational journey. We are looking for someone who enjoys creating and implementing projects and collaborating with colleagues and external partners to develop our operations within ABF Mitt Lappland.

The work takes place in Tärnaby where you have your own office. The position requires that you are comfortable working independently and can motivate yourself in an environment where you often work alone.

At the same time, you are part of a team of business developers throughout Västerbotten's inland, where you collaborate and support each other in the work. In the building where your office is located, there are also other companies.
