The position is located at Avesta Hospital - Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, and Rehabilitation Clinic, where we offer a broad operation focusing on emergency care, geriatrics, and rehabilitation. We are the small hospital with a big heart, where community and positive interaction are the cornerstones of well-being and development.

The position entails a 12-month employment.

Medical Assistant, Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, and Rehabilitation, Avesta

Job Responsibilities

As a medical assistant, you will:

• work under the supervision of experienced specialists in emergency medicine, geriatrics, and rehabilitation
• participate in the daily work of the care team, which may include patient meetings, medical assessments, and documentation
• contribute to good and safe care for our patients

This role is an important preparation for you who are on your way to validating your medical competence in Sweden and gives you the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of Swedish healthcare practice. Please note that the position does not meet the requirements for a temporary physician according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines.

Additional Information

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• is a specialist physician in internal medicine
• is on the way to validating their medical competence according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's path to licensure in Sweden
• has knowledge of Swedish at least at the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience working in nephrology/subspecialty in nephrology
• an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and developing care together with colleagues
