Welcome to apply for the position of teacher in our municipality-wide special education group!

We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to our students' well-being, joy, and sense of meaningfulness and success in their learning.

Our students have a great need for security and routines, and therefore we prefer that you are interested in a long-term employment.

The team currently consists of three primary school teachers. The student group comes from various primary schools in the municipality and shares a common need for special support.

To succeed in this role, it is important that you build good relationships with students, guardians, and external actors such as social services, child and adolescent psychiatry, and similar. You need to be confident in your pedagogical role and have the ability to create structure, predictability, and flexibility both in teaching and in the school day as a whole. Our goal is for the students to be able to return to regular schooling.

Responsibilities

• Teach students individually or in small groups.
• Provide social support for students in various situations.
• Collaborate with the student's regular school, guardians, and external actors.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher. Qualification in mathematics and/or natural sciences is particularly meritorious.
• Has experience and knowledge of students with neuropsychiatric disorders. Experience working with challenging students is especially important for this position.
• Works with a respectful approach towards people's differences and shares the values of the school and society.
• Has clear leadership that helps students achieve their goals.
• Has a calm, low-arousal, and relational working method, with a focus on long-term goals.
