Meal Service is now looking for a chef with special dietary knowledge for the kitchen at Råbylund School, who, together with colleagues, wants to contribute to creating joy in food for the guests.

About the role and your tasks

As a chef, you will plan, prepare, cook, and structure the daily work together with the entire workgroup, which currently consists of a coordinator and a kitchen assistant. As much food as possible is prepared from scratch with good ingredients and with a focus on health, climate, and sustainability. Cooking and planning special diets is an important part of the job. Together with your colleagues, you will also actively participate in the development of the school restaurant's offerings and planning of the operations for satisfied guests. The work also includes being involved in all tasks in the kitchen. A good attitude and contributing to creating a great dining experience for our guests in the school restaurant is a given.

We are looking for you

We are looking for someone who has completed a 3-year restaurant and food program or a chef training that is deemed equivalent by the employer. You have several years of experience working as a chef and managing special diets. You should be accustomed to working with self-control. If you have also completed a special diet training and have experience working with dietary data systems, we consider this an advantage.

For you to thrive in the role, it is important that you are flexible in your work, can work independently, and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You also have good collaboration skills and are humble and accommodating in your approach. You have an interest in helping others as part of a team, sharing your knowledge, and keeping yourself updated in your field. You should be able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and it is a requirement that you have good computer skills.

About the workplace

The operations of Meal Service include preparing meals for preschools, primary schools, high schools, and elderly care. Daily, about 22,000 portions are prepared by approximately 200 employees. Meal Service strives to provide good food, promote good eating habits, and is characterized by collaboration, good service, openness, and dialogue with our partners.

The business area consists of 46 kitchens and a meal team. The kitchen at Råbylund School serves about 300 portions daily to the students at the school. In the kitchen, there is a coordinator, a chef, and a kitchen assistant.

The Service Administration meets the needs of Lund Municipality's other administrations and municipal companies for service. We have about 600 employees. Together we work to build and maintain the municipality's buildings, premises, and housing, ensuring that they are intact, clean, and functioning as they should. We prepare food for the municipality's children, youth, and elderly, take care of green areas around the municipality's buildings, and manage the municipality's vehicles and transportation.
