Job Description

As an Employment Officer, you will focus on job seekers and employers. A central part of the job is to inform and communicate about the Employment Agency's mission, services, and rights and obligations. The job requires curiosity with the ability to make the difficult simple.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working closely with people who, for various reasons, have difficulty entering the labor market. Your tasks will include identifying job seekers' competencies, barriers, and motivations to find, obtain, retain, or return to employment.

You will work on making assessments and making well-founded decisions based on applicable regulations. You will decide on labor market policy programs and measures for job seekers as well as decisions on wage subsidies for employers. The job also includes following up to ensure that job seekers, employers, and suppliers fulfill commitments and meet requirements.

You are expected to stay updated on the labor market and employers' recruitment needs.

Our offer

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may begin with a six-month probationary period. The place of employment is Borås, with work areas in the municipalities of Bollebygd, Borås, Mark, Svenljunga, and Ulricehamn.

Basic requirements for the position

  • University/higher education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to the previous system)
  • Alternatively, you have been/are employed as an Employment Officer at the Employment Agency and are assessed to have good qualifications to meet today's requirements for Employment Officers
  • At least 2 years of work experience, collectively working at least 50 percent over a total of 2 years
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, that is, good ability to communicate in speech and writing, as well as high reading comprehension
  • Driving license B

Other merits for the position

  • Experience and knowledge of collaboration with other actors, such as authorities, municipalities, partners, employers
  • Work experience in interpreting and applying regulations
  • Work experience in guidance and coaching
  • Experience and knowledge of various types of work barriers (e.g., disabilities, addiction, and social legal issues)
