About the position

At Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital, we are responsible for the care of children and adolescents up to 18 years of age throughout Stockholm County. Our neuro outpatient care receives children and adolescents from all over the country with neurological diseases for investigation and treatment. We care for children with epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, spinal muscular atrophy, cerebral palsy, and other neurological diseases. We manage pre- and post-operative care as well as pre and post-anesthesia for procedures such as MRI examinations. We work in new and beautiful facilities in Solna.

With us, you will be part of our interdisciplinary team that has broad expertise and great development potential. You will work closely with patients, and the position also includes planning/coordinating and booking. We collaborate between our outpatient departments for children. You will receive a permanent position in our nursing area with placement in neuro outpatient care. Our nursing area includes neurology, orthopedics, and rheumatology with inpatient ward 10 as well as various outpatient care and clinics, and we also have SABH, which is advanced home care for children.

We work with person-centered care, and many children are followed for several years, making you an important contact between health and the child's illness. A crucial part of the job is to create security for the children and their relatives. Therefore, you need to be able to notice and attend to each child's special needs. We have close collaboration with nurses and doctors in the pain team at Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital.

We offer both permanent and temporary positions located in Solna.

The working hours are mainly scheduled Monday to Friday, daytime, but the position contributes to our 24/7 operations by working 2 weekend shifts per month.

We are looking for someone who

  • wants to work with children and adolescents and takes personal responsibility for their work and seeks the information needed for a good outcome
  • is responsible enough to ask for help when needed
  • follows structure and planning but is also prepared to reassess based on the circumstances at any given moment
  • collaborates to achieve common goals, helps colleagues, and takes initiative based on shared goals

Furthermore, you have a patient focus and show respect for the patient, providing safe care characterized by openness and quality.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Licensed nurse

Meritorious:

  • Experience working with children and experience in outpatient care
  • Pediatric specialist training
