Your Future Workplace
The Swedish Forest Agency is one of Sweden's 29 statistical authorities and is responsible for producing official statistics regarding forest use and management, as well as the production and economy of forestry.
The Statistics Unit consists of 15 employees spread across 9 locations in the country, including Jönköping, Örebro, Uppsala, Stockholm, Gävle, and Umeå. Employees in the unit have remote work agreements. We now want to complement our team with a forest analyst. If you have a genuine interest in data and data analysis, this could be the perfect role for you.
Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the production, presentation, and publication of one or more of the Swedish Forest Agency's statistical products. We can offer you a varied job where you will participate in the development of new statistical products, method design, quality, results, and presentation.
The Swedish Forest Agency's statistical responsibility is broad and ranges from forestry's work to preserve biodiversity to the structure and economy of the industry. Qualifications
We require that you have:
- a relevant academic degree, for example in forestry, statistics, or computer science
- documented knowledge of statistics
- good knowledge of Swedish and English
It is an advantage if you:
- have experience working with statistics
- have experience working with databases, such as programming in SQL, R, and/or Python
As a person, we want you to be:
- meticulous and analytical
- have good collaboration skills
- able to explain and present results in a pedagogical manner
- have a genuine interest in data analysis, an eye for detail, and a desire to develop within the role
