Laboratory Medicine Center Gotland is looking for a biomedical analyst

In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.

The island location requires the resources of a large hospital while also providing the closeness and community of a smaller hospital.

In healthcare on Gotland, close collaborations are built quickly, and decision-making paths are short, creating agility for patients and employees.

At Visby Hospital, beautifully located just next to the city wall by the Baltic Sea, we are now looking for someone who wants to make life-saving contributions in an engaged multidisciplinary team. The Laboratory Medicine Center Gotland is a multidisciplinary hospital laboratory that includes clinical microbiology, clinical chemistry, transfusion medicine, clinical physiology, and a water laboratory for chemical and microbiological water analyses.

Here, we place great importance on both employee satisfaction and our quality work!

Your tasks

The Laboratory Medicine Center Gotland is a smaller hospital laboratory. Therefore, we have great opportunities for varied tasks and continuous development. You will work within microbiology, and your tasks will include standard automated and manual analysis methods as well as sample reception and registration of samples in our lab data systems. You will have some contact with customers within healthcare.

You will initially work on a daytime schedule. Depending on previous experience and placement, scheduled evening shifts may be relevant after training.

Who are you?

You who are applying are a licensed or newly graduated biomedical analyst, or have equivalent higher education, preferably with experience in microbiology. We are also looking for someone who is currently training to become a biomedical analyst.

You have a good command of Swedish, both spoken and written, to clearly communicate with customers and understand method instructions in Swedish.

In addition to good computer skills, you are meticulous, have good collaboration skills, and can work independently. It is important that you enjoy working with varied tasks and learning new things.

Before a hiring decision is made, a background check will be conducted through an extract from the criminal record.
