Your Responsibilities

As a project manager at VMAB, you will play a key role in planning, executing, and following up on projects in several areas. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading investment and maintenance projects, primarily in the biogas plant, from procurement to final documentation and handover.
• Driving the development of purification technology for process water and leachate from landfills.
• Structuring and streamlining the company's project model to improve tracking of time, finances, and reporting.
• Managing regulatory contacts and procurements according to LUF.
• Collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure effective project deliveries.
• Driving information collection on long-term strategic issues and directions for the business.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, we see that you are a structured and communicative person with the ability to understand complex issues. You are attentive and service-oriented, and you have a strong ability to collaborate and drive issues forward. Additionally, you enjoy taking responsibility and working methodically with a focus on high quality and results.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree with a technical focus, or equivalent experience from roles such as environmental engineer, process engineer, or project manager within the process industry, industry, or consulting firms.
• Experience in project management and financial control of projects.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken.
• Experience with procurements according to LOU/LUF is an advantage.
• Experience from the process industry and/or municipal operations is an advantage.

About the Client

Västblekinge Miljö AB (VMAB) is a municipal company owned by the municipalities of Karlshamn, Sölvesborg, and Olofström. VMAB is a responsible environmental company focused on the future. Our task is to coordinate waste management in the three municipalities of Karlshamn, Sölvesborg, and Olofström. We are responsible for planning, receiving, sorting, increasing recycling, operating the biogas plant, transportation, recycling centers, information, and customer service. VMAB operates the waste facility in Mörrum with its own staff, where the headquarters is also located. The recycling centers are largely operated by our own staff, while the transportation of household waste is carried out by contractors. We are certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
