JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Furutåskolan is a primary school (grades F-6) with an associated after-school program. The school is located in the southern part of the city, in the Teleborg district, just a stone's throw away from both Växjö Lake and Södra Bergundasjön. This fall, the school will move into completely new facilities, and we will then have around 280 students and about 45 staff.

As a teacher in our grade 1, you will work closely with your colleagues to create good conditions for each student to develop as far as possible and reach the national goals. You will work in a grade team together with two other teachers and teachers in the after-school program.

At Furutåskolan, we actively work for continuous improvement in goal achievement, for a language-developing and inclusive working method, and we develop digital learning tools in teaching. In recent years, we have seen a positive trend in results at all levels and are looking for someone who wants to make a difference for our students.

The position is temporary and runs from 2025-08-11 to 2026-06-17.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a teaching degree and is a qualified primary school teacher for grades F-3.

You are a positive and engaged person who is creative, flexible, clear, and attentive. You individualize and vary teaching based on students' needs and work with accessible learning environments. You have the ability to see opportunities in pedagogical work and possess good collaboration skills.

Furthermore, we believe that you have a conscious thought about your role as an educator and are confident in your leadership. You work systematically based on applicable governing documents and have a professional approach. You have the ability to create a positive working environment in the group through engagement, curiosity, and security.
