JOB DESCRIPTION
The vision and goals of Gustavslundskolan are: Together we have fun and learn for life. At Gustavslundskolan, each individual should be met with respect and be allowed to develop based on their own conditions. The activities should meet students' differences so that every child receives an equivalent education and has the opportunity to feel joy and enthusiasm in learning.
Gustavslundskolan is a K-6 school located in northern Hovshaga. Approximately 360 students attend the school. As a teacher in the after-school program, you will work in a grade level alongside dedicated teachers who are passionate about their mission. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that the teaching in the after-school program maintains a high standard, where your responsibility will be to lead and plan the work in the afternoon while implementing the teaching together with other educators and student assistants in the after-school program.
As a teacher in the after-school program, you are responsible for:
- Designing teaching that creates coherence, continuity, and progression in students' development and learning in close collaboration with other school forms.
- Challenging students to use different working methods and allowing them to encounter a variety of these in teaching so they have the opportunity to develop multiple skills.
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work based on national governing documents, both individually and together with the work team.
- The teaching should aim to support the student's aesthetic, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development, as well as be based on the students' needs, interests, and experiences. Collaborate with and continuously inform guardians about the student's school situation, well-being, and knowledge development.
- Designing the complementary assignment in the after-school program so that students have the opportunity to explore, experiment, solve problems, and turn ideas into action both individually and in groups.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who wants to develop our school into a place where students thrive, are active in their learning, and develop their abilities. You are a clear leader who works from a holistic perspective where both joy and engagement are present, but also structure and organization are made visible. You have the ability to create a good working climate with colleagues and you enjoy collaborating in various constellations.

You also have a degree/qualification with authorization to teach in the after-school program or as a preschool teacher, but even those with qualifications for other age groups are welcome to apply. However, to obtain a permanent position as a teacher in the after-school program, authorization to teach in the after-school program is required.
