Welcome to us at Växjö Municipality!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome to the Education Administration! Here, you have the opportunity to make a difference for our children and students. We are responsible for approximately 18,000 children and students and work every day to help them develop and achieve greater goal fulfillment. We want children to enter our program as curious, creative one-year-olds and leave us as engaged, knowledgeable, and independent 19-20-year-olds.

Adapted Primary School 3 currently exists at Ljungfälleskolan and Teleborg Centrumskola. This fall, we will start in new premises at Östra Lugnet and Hagavikskolan. Currently, about 90 students attend our school, supported by approximately 70 staff members. We have 14 classes in grades 1-9. Teachers and student assistants work closely together to create good conditions for our students' social and academic development. Our goal is for all students to encounter a learning environment tailored to their abilities. Together, we create safety, well-being, and knowledge development. Our aim is for students to develop a strong belief in their own abilities and to spark a lifelong desire for learning and development. We strive to be clear and structured so that all students feel a sense of coherence and can meet the expectations placed upon them. We want our students to be active participants in their own learning, and therefore their opinions are an important part of our planning work.

We are now seeking a teacher for Adapted Primary School 3 grades 7-9 for a permanent position at 100%. The position includes a two-year assignment as a lead teacher.

We are looking for someone who is confident in their teaching role and has experience in driving systematic quality work. The lead teacher role includes teaching as well as planning and implementing development initiatives for the entire organization. You will be an important part of the school's development work and will work with your colleagues to drive collaborative efforts. You will be part of our development group, where you will closely collaborate with management, resource teams, and another lead teacher.

Our main area of development in the coming years is language-developing methods and reading and writing instruction, which we started this school year and will continue to focus on over the next two school years.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone qualified to teach in adapted primary school. You can document at least four years of well-documented teaching experience within one or more positions in adapted primary school.

To fit into the role, we expect that:

  • You have a conscious understanding of your role as an educator and are a clear leader with a professional approach who works systematically based on applicable governing documents.
  • You have the ability to create a good working climate with engagement, curiosity, and safety. You see and meet students' various needs based on their individual circumstances.
  • Collaboration is important to you, and you have a good ability to lead collaborative learning with your colleagues.
  • You have a positive attitude, see solutions, and have good initiative. You can drive a project from start to finish and find joy in being part of the organization's development efforts.
