RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of special teacher, you will be responsible for investigations, assessments, and the implementation of special support. You will be part of the school's student health team and, together with colleagues, be involved and responsible for the various interventions and measures of the student health team based on the needs of the operations. Collegial supervision may occur in the position, where you are expected to have a professional and humble approach. Flexibility is crucial in the role of special teacher as constant changes may arise depending on the students' needs. You will have close collaboration with our current special teacher who focuses on mathematics.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a teaching degree and certification, as well as further training as a special teacher in Swedish. Education and experience in Swedish are required, but you are also expected to provide special educational support in other subjects. Competence in reading instruction and Swedish as a second language (SvA) is an additional merit. We value experience or competence in neuropsychiatric disabilities. You have the ability to see the individual and develop a learning environment that promotes the student's learning. Great emphasis is placed on your ability to meet students with different educational needs. We see that you are confident in your teaching role and have a good sense of collegial work. You have a well-developed communicative ability, which means you create good meetings and conversations with both individuals and groups.

OTHER

Your main placement will be at Paradisskolan in Älmhult, while our other special teacher will be primarily placed at Ryfors School. We see collaboration across school boundaries as very important as you have different subject qualifications.
