About the role
We are looking for an IT Operations Team Lead for our IT department, where you will be a key person in ensuring the operation, maintenance, and development of our IT environment. As an IT Operations Team Lead, you are the bridge between technicians and management, where you have operational responsibility for IT operations while supporting and developing the team. You will work closely with the group manager and another team leader to structure, plan, and ensure quality in daily work. This is a role for you who want to take the next step in leadership and strategic IT operations.
Your main responsibilities:
- Follow-up and feedback at both individual and group levels
- Work leadership based on assignments
- Issue management via JIRA
- Quality assurance
- Drive and implement improvement work and minor changes within the group
Your work will be in a team together with the group manager and another work leader colleague. The workgroup consists of about 30 employees in total (personnel responsibility is not included) and you report to the group manager.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a strong technical background who wants to take the next step in leadership and work management. The role requires a broad understanding of IT operations, but the most important thing is your ability to lead, support, and develop the team through an agile working method. We work in a solution-oriented and unpretentious environment, where we care about a good working climate. You need to be a communicative leader who enjoys being a present and operationally engaged part of the team.
The role requires that you have:
- At least 2 years of experience in IT operations.
- Experience in leading and managing daily IT work, for example as a Scrum Master, Team Lead, or work leader.
- Experience working with agile methods such as Scrum, Lean, or SAFe.
- Good technical understanding of IT operations, including servers, databases, and application management.
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We consider it an advantage if you also have:
- Experience in IT security and incident management.
- Previous experience in work leadership or project management.
- Knowledge/experience in security-classified operations and the Security Protection Act.
- A college or university degree in IT.
To succeed in the role, you have a natural drive, an analytical problem-solving ability, and clear communication. You thrive in a stable and secure environment but are also solution-oriented and proactive. With your confidence in IT operations, you can coordinate, prioritize, and coach the team. Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure, and our operations are subject to regulations regarding security protection, export control, and nuclear non-proliferation. Therefore, we will conduct security checks for all our services and complement them with background checks for security-classified positions, in accordance with the Security Protection Act. Uniper is part of critical societal operations in Sweden, which means that this position may be subject to military placement. A health examination, including a drug test, may also be relevant before employment.
