GSS/K Mechanic for the Technical System Support Section (TSS)
The Position Offers
A varied job in collaboration with other units within the garrison, working with existing systems at K 3, ranging from vehicles, weapons, optics to communication and medical equipment.
Technical Department
The Technical Department (TekA) is a department within LogE that handles ongoing technical maintenance in the garrison and provides support to the garrison's actors regarding training, technical system support, and material knowledge in technical matters.
The department consists of two sections: Technical Customer Reception (TKM) which handles customer contact regarding corrective maintenance, books and plans inspections, manages the operation of the care facility, etc., and Technical System Support (TSS) which works with corrective maintenance, training, and support directed towards the various units within the garrison.
The Technical System Support Section (TSS)
As a mechanic in the TSS section, you are expected to have a broad technical interest in the commonly used material systems in the ground arena. The section works with the commonly used systems within K 3. TSS is tasked with training the garrison's personnel in technical service, managing functional level squadron & battalion within technical service, providing operational support, assisting with troop repairs, performing repairs, and supporting units during training activities.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct repairs on the garrison's equipment
- Assist in training the garrison's personnel.
- Acquire deeper knowledge of the technical aspects of the ground arena.
- Support other departments within LogE
Qualifications
- Approved GU with a technical focus
- Swedish citizenship
- Driver's license B with manual transmission

As part of the team, the tasks are highly varied where flexibility, drive, and initiative are key words. We sometimes work under great time pressure. In the team, we work both together and individually, and you are required to be unpretentious, loyal, and take great responsibility for individual work.

Meritorious

Employment type: Fixed-term employment GSS-K (The employment begins with a 6-month probationary period for those not already employed by the Armed Forces).
Work and readiness during evenings and weekends may occur.

The Life Regiment Hussars, K 3, has fast and powerful units and a long experience in the intelligence field. K 3 trains a ranger battalion and an intelligence battalion.
The ranger battalion is a unit with high mobility that should be able to be first on the scene in an operation. The intelligence battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, personnel on the ground, and unmanned aerial vehicles (RPAS).
At K 3, there is also the Armed Forces' survival school and the Air Unit responsible for remotely piloted aircraft systems as well as military parachuting. There are also support functions such as the Garrison Unit and the Logistics Unit. Please read more on this page.
