We are looking for you who want to be part of our launch of radioactive medicine production and who, together with us, want to continue developing Region Örebro County's cyclotron and radiochemistry unit.

The Radiochemistry Section is part of Hospital Physics, within the Specialized Care area. The Radiochemistry Section has been working for some time on establishing the radiochemistry operations, and we are now on the verge of starting clinical operations. Initially, this involves the production of Fludeoxyglucose (FDG), but it will be expanded to include other radioactive medicines. All production takes place in accordance with GMP standards.

The responsibilities include scheduled work in the production and quality control of radioactive medicines for clinical applications. Other duties include the operation and maintenance of our laboratories and equipment, as well as quality systems, validation of analytical methods, equipment qualification, and ordering of materials. It also involves conducting deviation investigations, CAPA/CC cases, developing new routines, and training staff. We are a small group and wish to complement the team with reinforcement on the QA side. Therefore, experience and interest in quality work are meritorious. Currently, we produce FDG for the region's nuclear medicine activities, and in the coming years, we will work on developing methods for additional radiopharmaceuticals and associated documentation. Since our medicines have a short shelf life, production and use must take place on the same day, which means the workday starts early.

You have a university education in the field of chemistry; as a pharmacist, engineer, natural scientist, or equivalent. Previous experience in the following is meritorious:

• GMP-regulated operations
• Quality control and/or analytical chemistry
• Radiochemistry

Since our most important task is to provide radioactive medicines for PET examinations, it is important to be flexible and meticulous. The section is a small group, where you will complement our current three chemists. It is very important that you want to contribute to a positive work climate, have good cooperation skills, and thrive working in a smaller work group. In close collaboration, there are also radiographers, biomedical engineers, and hospital physicists. You should have good communication skills and be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in English. The management system is designed in English, which is why this is a requirement. Communication in Swedish is highly meritorious, as most daily communication takes place in Swedish.
