Your Role

As an Environmental Coordinator, you will work with environmental and chemical issues related to our products within the Missile Systems business unit. Our business covers both new development as well as production and support services. This implies close collaboration with various functions in the business to handle environmental requirements and environmental documentation linked to development, purchasing, sales, use, and decommissioning.

Main responsibilities that may be included in the role to varying degrees:

• Plan, coordinate, implement, and monitor activities that support the projects'/products' environmental goals and ensure compliance with the products' environmental requirements.
• Interpret and apply environmental and chemical legislation applicable to our products.
• Collaborate with chemical and environmental functions within different departments.
• Handle various chemical-related issues.
• Support the construction and design department with sustainable material choices and material declarations.
• Issue environmental and chemical documentation to customers.
• Drive change initiatives by replacing materials and chemical products with alternatives having lower health and environmental impacts.
• Report to authorities regarding hazardous substances.
• Collaborate with functions from other parts of the organization.

Travel both within and outside Sweden is part of the job. The location is Karlskoga.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in and commitment to chemical-related environmental issues.

We believe you have:

• An academic education in environmental science, chemistry, materials, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent knowledge and experience from working life.
• Good knowledge of legislation in the environmental and chemical field, for example REACH.
• Good ability to express yourself in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the currently valid regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
