Social Development Administration is Hiring an Environmental Inspector
The Social Development Administration offers creative dialogue, a fast-paced environment, solution-oriented working methods, and gives you the opportunity to drive and participate in changing social development processes. We are a collaborative administration between Hällefors, Lindesberg, Ljusnarsberg, and Nora municipalities with a broad mandate within the municipalities' social development processes.
The administration consists of two main areas of operation: technical operations, and construction and environment.
We are now expanding the environmental protection group with an environmental inspector.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As an environmental inspector in the environmental protection group, you work with supervision of environmentally hazardous operations and contribute to protecting both the environment and people's health. The assignment involves planning, conducting, and following up on supervision cases according to the Environmental Code, with a focus on legal certainty, quality, and dialogue.
The role includes conducting inspections, assessing the operations' compliance with current legislation, as well as documenting and making decisions. You communicate requirements and assessments in a clear and professional manner, both verbally and in writing, and follow up to ensure that decisions and measures are implemented.
You also have an important advisory function where you guide operators and answer questions from the public. The work is characterized by independent responsibility, while you are part of close cooperation with colleagues within the environmental protection group and other parts of the organization. Together, you contribute to the development of working methods, experience sharing, and efficient supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a relevant university education in natural sciences, for example as an environmental and health protection inspector or an environmental scientist. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and on you contributing to good cooperation in the work group. It is meritorious if you have experience of similar tasks and good knowledge of the Environmental Code.
To succeed in the role, you are confident in making objective assessments, setting clear requirements, and making decisions with integrity. You have good communication skills and can build trustful relationships when meeting both operators and the public. You are flexible and adapt easily to different situations, while working in a structured manner and being able to plan and prioritize your work effectively.
You thrive in a role where you take own responsibility and initiative, but also value cooperation and experience sharing with colleagues. You express yourself clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
A Category B driver's license is required.
