Your Role
As an Operations Technician with us, you will work with the operation, optimization, and development of our production facilities, piping networks, and hydropower systems. You will support operation and maintenance within our heat and electricity production, working with both daily operations and the long-term development of the business.
You will become an important part of our production organization. You will contribute to creating safe, efficient, and sustainable operations. The focus is on preventive work – you will participate in monitoring, improvements, and the development of our facilities, networks, and working methods. At the same time, you need to understand daily operations and be able to support during acute situations, such as breakdowns or other operational needs.
We are approximately 35 employees within heat and electricity production, responsible for production, distribution, and business support. Within production, over 20 people work, divided into operations and maintenance. Here, coordinators and operations technicians work both on shifts and during daytime hours. The position is primarily daytime with on-call duties, belongs to the operations department, and you report to the Production Manager.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the business within operations, maintenance, and distribution with technical competence and a holistic perspective.
- Participate in the operation of boilers and other production facilities as needed – be a flexible resource under changed operational conditions.
- Work with operational monitoring and contribute to making production more efficient.
- Participate in investigations, root cause analyses, and follow-ups, and contribute with improvement proposals.
- Contribute to the planning and coordination of operational and maintenance activities.
- Contribute to the development of routines and instructions, and ensure and update technical documentation and operation-related information.
- Strengthen collaboration between operations, maintenance, distribution, projects, and other support functions.
We are looking for you who have/can
- Operations Technician education at minimum upper secondary level, preferably with a focus on process, energy, or equivalent experience assessed by the employer as equivalent.
- Good technical understanding of production facilities and networks.
- Experience in operations, maintenance, and process industry.
- Interest and/or experience in hydropower, electricity production, and/or energy systems.
- Good computer skills (Office) and experience with digital systems (e.g., work order, operation, or customer systems).
- Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Category B driver's license for manual transmission.
It is an advantage if you have
- Boiler operator certification.
- Experience from the energy sector.
- Experience with shift work or control room operations.
- Knowledge of hydropower facilities and their operation.
- Experience in improvement work or technical development in an operational environment.
