The Assignment
As the Unit Manager for Local Maintenance, you lead and coordinate the Local Maintenance Unit within the Campus Department. The role entails overall responsibility for operations, personnel, and economy, as well as close cooperation with other functions within the university. You actively contribute to ensuring that local maintenance maintains high quality and functions as a professional and efficient support that guarantees clean, safe, and well-maintained premises that support education, research, and administration.
An important part of the assignment is to create and maintain structure in daily work through good planning, prioritization, and organization. The role requires the ability to work methodically and ensure clarity and quality even during periods of high tempo and varying tasks.
You operate in line with the university's values and basic view of leadership and governance, characterized by trust, holism, quality, cooperation, and simplicity, and actively contribute to the Campus Department's joint development. The assignment also includes monitoring external developments and taking advantage of technical and organizational opportunities for efficiency and development.
You are part of the Campus Department's management group and represent the local maintenance unit in relevant internal and external contexts.
Experience and Knowledge
To succeed in the role of Unit Manager at the Local Maintenance Unit, we assess that you have several years of experience from qualified work as a manager or leader.
We also assess that you have a university or college degree, for example in economics, HR, leadership, public administration, or other experience that the employer deems equivalent. Documented experience of managerial or leadership assignments with personnel responsibility. Experience of leading operations with responsibility for economy, results, and work environment. Good ability to work structured with follow-up, prioritization, and implementation.
You have worked both strategically and operationally with good results. To thrive and succeed in the role, we believe you have experience from service-intensive operations. You articulate yourself well both orally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
