Do you want to make a real difference in the daily lives of older adults? As a casual employee within our elderly care services, you have the opportunity to work in home care services or in a residential care home. Here, you become an important part of a dedicated team where you contribute every day to the security, independence, and quality of life for the elderly we support.

About the position

As a casual employee in elderly care, you provide support and care based on each individual's specific needs, wishes, and care plans. The work is built on respect for the individual's self-determination and integrity, aiming to create a secure, meaningful, and dignified daily life.

Depending on the facility you work in, the tasks may vary. In home care, you support individuals in their own homes, while in residential care, you work together with colleagues to provide good, person-centered care. Common tasks include:

  • providing support in daily activities and personal care based on individual needs,
  • assisting with meals, mobility, and social interaction,
  • documenting interventions in the social journal according to current guidelines,
  • collaborating with colleagues, relatives, and other professional groups to ensure good and safe care,
  • contributing to a safe, secure, and pleasant environment for the elderly.

This is an ongoing expression of interest for casual employment. As a casual employee, you work as needed, and hours can be during the day, evening, or weekend. Night shifts may also occur in residential care. All our facilities are located in Sollentuna Municipality.

Your profile

To succeed in this job, we look for you to have:

  • good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written,
  • basic computer skills and ability to use email, Word, and work systems.

It is an advantage if you are trained as a nursing assistant and have proof of the protected professional title of nursing assistant.

We also appreciate if you have experience working in elderly care, home care services, special housing, or other care and support activities. Knowledge of person-centered care and dementia care is an advantage. A B-class driver's license is also an advantage, especially for work in home care services.

About the recruitment process

Before a potential employment, you must present extracts from the criminal record and suspicion register, as well as valid photo ID. You are responsible for ordering the extract via the Police website.

If you are called for an interview, you must be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
