The Role

As MAS, you are responsible for ensuring that municipal healthcare is provided with high quality and patient safety, in accordance with, among other things:

• The Health and Medical Services Act (HSL)
• The Patient Safety Act (PSL)
• The Health and Medical Services Ordinance
• The Patient Act and the Patient Data Act

The role includes:

• Ensuring that laws, regulations, and guidelines are followed – both in-house and by providers
• Following up, analyzing, and developing healthcare within KSON’s areas of responsibility
• Formulating and updating guidelines and governing documents
• Being responsible for overarching patient safety work
• Serving as an expert and support in medical matters for managers, colleagues, and providers
• Driving the development of quality and working methods together with operations and partners
• Contributing to the follow-up of agreements and quality in care provided on behalf of KSON

You work independently but in close collaboration with MAR (Medically Responsible for Elderly Care), colleagues, and operations.

What You Need to Bring

Requirements

• Registered nurse with specialist education in areas such as elderly care or cognitive diseases, or alternatively as a district nurse
• At least five years of professional experience within municipal healthcare
• Experience in strategic patient safety work at an overarching level
• Documented experience in collaboration and relationship building in complex organizations

Merits

• Experience in MAS roles or similar strategic positions
• Experience in leadership roles
• Broad experience from several areas within healthcare

Welcome to Us

Healthcare and Social Care in Norrtälje (KSON) is a unique collaboration between Norrtälje Municipality and Region Stockholm. The mission is to meet the residents' needs for healthcare and social care. KSON therefore has unique conditions to seamlessly meet the residents' needs for effective holistic solutions and is governed by a board with elected representatives from Region Stockholm and Norrtälje Municipality. Part of the Norrtälje Model.

KSON has agreements with many providers and also runs care and social services in-house through the wholly-owned company Tiohundra AB. The budget covers approximately 4.8 billion SEK, and we currently have around 120 employees with primarily purchaser, owner, and authority assignments within the administration.

We work with procurement, follow-up, and development of care and social services in close collaboration with both private providers and the wholly-owned company Tiohundra AB.

Here, there are conditions to work with the big picture, quality, and development for real.

For this position, the starting salary is normally between 48,000 - 55,000 SEK depending on experience and competence.

Probationary periods may apply for permanent positions.
