Your responsibilities – Become part of our team working to protect our society, today and tomorrow
We are now looking for an engaged colleague for the Supervision of Security Protection unit. Here, you work with important societal issues in a role where you combine analysis, collaboration, and supervision. You become a key part of the work to strengthen security protection within the energy sector by planning, implementing, and following up on supervisory measures at operators under the Swedish Energy Agency's responsibility. Supervision takes place both through written reviews and site visits, giving you a varied and dynamic workday.
You collaborate closely with your colleagues, and depending on your competence and experience, the tasks may vary. However, you will work with supervision in areas such as district heating, natural gas, and oil and fuel supply at facilities crucial for societal function. You also participate in consultation processes where the agency guides and supports other actors in matters concerning security protection and legal interpretation. As a natural part of the work, you keep up to date with current legislation and contribute to developing the agency's work in line with changing requirements and conditions. You also drive information efforts to increase understanding of regulations and contribute to high compliance among supervised entities.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a degree or post-secondary education that we assess as relevant for the position. You communicate well orally and in writing in both Swedish and English. We also expect you to have good knowledge of modern IT systems and programs, as well as a B-driver's license. The position is classified for security clearance, which means you must have Swedish citizenship.
It is meritorious if you have experience of:
- Work with security protection
- Work with supervision or equivalent experience
- Work with information security
- Work with physical security
- Work with personnel security
- Work with the implementation of signals protection controls
- Investigation and analysis work through work, school, or practice
It is also meritorious if you have studied courses in security protection, preparedness, or security training and have experience and knowledge of energy issues. We would appreciate that you have relevant and current experience of working in the public sector and knowledge of NATO regulations.

The Swedish Energy Agency leads society's transition to a sustainable energy system. The Supervision of Security Protection unit is responsible for supervision within security protection and safe natural gas. The unit is under construction, and more areas of responsibility will be added over time, creating great opportunities to influence and contribute.

Good to know
The position is a permanent employment with an initial six-month probationary period. This position is classified for security clearance, which means security investigation and register check according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act will be conducted. For permanent employment, war posting at the agency may become relevant.
