We are looking for an Energy Strategist for Borås City

Borås never stands still. As one of Sweden's largest municipalities, Borås City actively works to create sustainable and future-proof environments for residents and businesses. We are now looking for an Energy Strategist who wants to drive the energy and climate transition in one of West Sweden's largest municipal property portfolios.

Join us in driving Borås City's energy transition. Do you want to combine technical competence with strategic development work while contributing to real societal benefit? As an Energy Strategist, you will play a key role in developing and improving energy efforts within the property portfolio of the Local Supply Administration.

You will become part of the Projects and Administration Support department, a team of specialists within energy, environment, security, IT, and accessibility. Together, you will contribute expert knowledge, drive development initiatives, and support the administration in creating sustainable, efficient, and future-proof buildings.

About the role

As an Energy Strategist, you are responsible for coordinating, developing, and following up on energy efforts within Borås City's property portfolio. You work both strategically and operationally with issues related to energy, climate, electrification, and sustainable building solutions.

Main responsibilities

• Drive and develop work within energy efficiency, operational optimization, and energy management.
• Participate in new, renovation, and extension projects with a focus on energy, climate, electricity supply, and electrification.
• Analyze energy performance and technical systems in the property portfolio, and evaluate and recommend energy-efficient solutions based on technology, economy, and sustainability.
• Coordinate and support internal and external actors in matters concerning energy, sustainability, and indoor climate.

Who you are

We are looking for you who are engaged, curious, and driven by developing sustainable solutions. You have a strategic approach while enjoying turning ideas into concrete results.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• Post-secondary education in energy, electricity, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in energy work related to buildings.
• Experience with electrical, heating, ventilation, and control systems.
• Experience in project work, procurement, and collaboration with various stakeholders.

As a person, you are analytical, communicative, and relationship-building. You are proactive, solution-oriented, and have the ability to drive issues forward in a complex organization.
