We are now looking for an experienced personnel security specialist for a role in a security-critical environment. This position is ideal for you if you have documented and independent experience conducting background investigations and security clearance interviews in accordance with the Security Protection Act, and if you are accustomed to working in a structured, legally secure manner with high integrity.

About the Role

You will strengthen a personnel security function responsible for conducting security clearances while maintaining quality and legal security. The assignment involves independently conducting background checks, basic investigations, and security clearance interviews, as well as preparing decision support materials for suitability assessments.

The role is primarily based on-site at the airport environment and involves close collaboration with responsible managers and security functions. Travel to other airports may occur regularly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct background checks and basic investigations prior to security clearance
• Conduct security clearance interviews in a structured and legally secure manner
• Compile materials and propose suitability assessments
• Support line managers in follow-up security clearance processes when needed
• Contribute to managing and developing routines and methodological support within personnel security
• Provide support in other tasks related to personnel security as needed

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

• Documented, independent experience conducting basic investigations and security clearance interviews according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585)
• Good knowledge of security protection legislation and the Swedish Security Service's guidelines
• Experience in drafting decision support documents and maintaining structured documentation
• At least 4 years of experience working with security clearance processes
• Native-level Swedish in both speech and writing, as well as good English skills

Merits

• Background from the Police, the Swedish Security Service (Säkerhetspolisen), the Swedish Armed Forces, or similar investigative operations
• Training in interview or counseling methodologies
• Experience from aviation or other critical infrastructure

Assignment Details

• Location: Stockholm Arlanda Airport
