Department 26 is a care department with 18 beds for children and adolescents up to 18 years old with medical or surgical conditions. The operations have a wide scope and include both care for children with severe and chronic conditions, as well as children with temporary illnesses.

Here, you will work with children of different ages based on family-centered care, which means close collaboration with the child's parents/guardians. We are committed to providing high-quality care and strive to be characterized by good treatment, kindness, and consideration. As a nursing assistant, your duties include general care around the family, as well as monitoring checks, blood sampling, and support and assistance during meals.

We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant, preferably with experience working with children and adolescents. We prefer that you have a Nursing Education with a focus on Health and Medical Care. The courses Emergency Care 200 credits (formerly Healthcare 200 credits) and Medicine 2 100 credits (formerly Medical Basic Course 100 credits and Nursing 150 credits) are desirable. Alternatively, equivalent older education or the nursing program with graduation after 2022. We also weigh in relevant work experience when assessing your qualifications. To assess employability, grades from your nursing education must be attached to your application.

Start date according to agreement.

The application should include a CV, cover letter, and grades from completed nursing courses, as well as possible proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare regarding the protected professional title. Other certificates, grades, diplomas, etc., should be provided during a potential interview.

Within the pediatric and adolescent medicine area, we conduct a broad pediatric operation and have good competence in many subspecialty areas. Here you will find a neonatal department, a pediatric care department for children and adolescents with both medical and surgical conditions, a mobile pediatric team, a child and adolescent clinic, day care, and three outpatient pediatric clinics. At the child and adolescent clinic, dietitians, counselors, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, teachers, and play therapists work in close collaboration with each other and with other healthcare staff. The operation has just over 200 employees.
