We are looking for a creative and responsible Production Manager for Strömbacka's production kitchen. Responsibilities

The responsibilities include staffing and distributing personnel, balancing and prioritizing tasks, and leading daily operations. You will prepare and organize the production planning for the kitchen. In this role, you will lead operational meetings, conduct reviews, and report to the unit manager. Welcoming and introducing new employees is also part of the role.

The position involves a significant administrative component focusing on planning, follow-up, and coordination, as well as ordering supplies and handling invoicing. You will have customer contact with school staff and participate in dietary advisory meetings at our nursing homes. You will work both operationally and strategically, actively contributing to the development and quality of the operations.

Qualifications

You have a restaurant education at the upper secondary level or other educational/professional background deemed suitable by the employer. You have competence in food hygiene and possess strong leadership skills to engage employees and utilize their competencies and ideas. You inspire and create a culture where willingness, job satisfaction, and diversity are integrated in a value-creating way. You feel confident in making decisions.

The role places high demands on collaboration, a welcoming attitude, and clear communication – that is, a professional approach. Experience leading large-scale kitchen production is desirable. The work is varied, requiring you to be flexible and have a structured working method. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and good computer skills are required. Experience with diet data systems and economic systems, as well as previous work experience in production kitchens and supervisory roles, is considered an advantage.

About the Position

The position is a full-time permanent employment, Monday–Friday, with start date as agreed.

About Food Service (Måltidsservice)

We face many exciting challenges and are looking for you who take initiative, enjoy collaborating, and are eager to share your knowledge. Food Service is responsible for the production and serving of public meals and works based on dietary political guidelines with clear goals. Our mission is to create health-promoting and nutritious meals – food that is quality-assured, tasty, and adapted for children, young people, and the elderly.

We aim to contribute to good eating habits and sustainable development, with a special focus on reducing food waste. Food Service is part of the Property and Service Administration, which is also responsible for maintaining municipal buildings and ensuring our premises are clean and pleasant.

Strömbacka production kitchen prepares approx. 2000 portions per day for the high school and care/residential homes, of which approx. 1400 portions are served in our student restaurant. Here, you will become part of a wonderful team of 20 people.
