LFV is in the midst of an exciting transformation journey involving new technology, new ways of working, and growing responsibilities. We need to strengthen our team and are now looking for two System Engineers who want to contribute to smart solutions for tomorrow's air traffic.

Your future workplace

You will become part of CNS COM Nät, a great team of ten people who work together on the management, design, and development of our national IP-based transmission network, LFV ATN.

We collaborate with other ANSPs (Air Navigation Service Providers) and their IP-based transmission networks.

LFV ATN (Aeronautical Telecommunication Network) is used within operational air traffic services and is therefore regulated with high demands for precision, control, and follow-up.

The group works with different focuses, so whether you want to manage LFV ATN, thrive in technical projects, enjoy working in test environments, or contribute as an advisor on technical matters, there is a place for you.

Your role

As a System Engineer with us, you will have a broad and varied assignment within system and management issues. Among other things, you will work with:

  • Design of network changes related to LFV's systems – from structure and planning to documentation, dialogue with operations, and assessments regarding flight safety and cyber security.
  • Close contact with operations, such as air traffic controllers, system engineers, authorities, and suppliers. You will have many exciting areas of contact!
  • Leadership of maintenance technicians and a more senior responsibility for LFV ATN, as well as acting as an advisor for both technicians and users.
  • Project leadership within the COM Nät area.

Who are we looking for?

We believe you want to take the step from operational operations to a more management- and design-oriented role. You like the combination of personal responsibility and close collaboration, take initiative, and enjoy working towards clear goals. You are analytical, communicative, and good at creating structure. And above all, you share our commitment to technology, development, and flight safety.

If the description fits you, you are the right person for the job if you also have:

  • A technical education with a focus on network technology or equivalent experience
  • Experience with IP networks in operations and maintenance, with good knowledge of IP networking and Cisco
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure, IP networks, communication, and cyber security
  • Experience leading, following up, and administering development and improvement work within network services
  • Mastery of LAN/WAN, routing/switching, firewalls, proxies, multicast, QoS, and network design
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

We consider it a bonus if you also have experience with:

  • Tools such as Netbox, IPFabric, Catalyst Center, Cisco Prime, Netflow
  • MPLS, IPsec, SD-WAN, EVPL, and VPLS
  • DNS, DHCP, and other network-related protocols
  • Linux, scripting, and automation (e.g., Python, Ansible, APIs)
  • Communication services within air traffic services as well as relevant laws and regulations

Other information

The positions are permanent with workplace locations in several places in the country, for example Stockholm/Arlanda, Norrköping, Gothenburg, Malmö/Sturup.

Business travel occurs.

A security clearance will be conducted before employment, which includes among other things register checks, security interviews, and drug tests. The role requires Swedish citizenship.

We value diversity and believe that different perspectives make us better. Our recruitment process is competency-based and includes selection, tests, and interviews, ensuring that all candidates are treated equally and fairly.

About LFV

We lead the flight - in step with the times, in all situations. LFV is Sweden's leading actor in air traffic control for civil and military aviation with associated services. We offer air traffic control and related services both nationally and internationally. Our air traffic controllers lead approximately 2,000 aircraft in Swedish airspace daily. LFV was the first in the world with remote air traffic control, and we drive digitalization in several areas. Through various collaborations, we are helping to streamline European airspace.
