We are now looking for an experienced, analytical, and engaged Economic Controller who wants to help develop financial management within the community development sector.

The municipality is facing several extensive investment and community development projects, meaning you will play a central role in coordinating and supporting operations with financial analysis, follow-up, and advisory services. With us, you are offered a varied and developing position where you combine financial analysis, operational support, and development work.

As an Economic Controller, you are a qualified support for managers and project leaders within the community development sector. The operations include, among other things, water and wastewater (VA) and waste, traffic, property, planning, construction, land and development, and environment.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for budget, forecasts, financial follow-up, and annual accounts within the various operations of the community development sector.
  • Responsibility for separate reporting of water/wastewater and waste operations.
  • Follow up, analyze, and quality-assure investment and development projects, ensuring correct reporting in accordance with current laws and regulations.
  • Participate in and drive the development of routines and processes within investment, development, and property economics.
  • Provide qualified financial support to operation managers and project leaders through analysis, decision-making materials, and advice.
  • Contribute to developing the municipality's financial management and follow-up within the community development sector.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • A university or college education in economics, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of municipal accounting and financial management.
  • Experience with investment and development reporting.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and annual accounting.
  • Good system proficiency and very good skills in Excel.
  • Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Merits:

  • Experience in financial work within community development operations.
  • Experience with tariff-financed operations, especially within water/wastewater and waste.
  • Experience with Unit4/Agresso and Hypergene.

To succeed in the role, we see that you are analytical, structured, and have an operation-oriented approach. You thrive in collaboration with others while having the ability to independently plan, prioritize, and drive your work forward.

You are communicative and pedagogical in your way of explaining economic connections and can turn analyses into concrete decision-making materials that create value for the operations.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Terms and Benefits

With us, you have the opportunity to work in an operation that is crucial for the municipality's development. You will become part of an organization where the finance function plays an important role in creating conditions for long-term sustainable decisions and investments.

Selection and interviews will take place after the application period has ended. We welcome your application!
