Do you want to help create conditions for more children and young people to have an active, meaningful, and health-promoting leisure time?

We are now looking for a coordinator who wants to contribute to the development of activities and initiatives for children and young people. The role involves a broad and varied assignment where you work with coordination, development, and quality assurance within the operational area, with a focus on creating equal opportunities for movement, participation, and good health.

The Coordinator for Children and Young People is organized under the Unit of Health Promotion Hisingen and is part of the Operational Area for Swimming and Health Promotion. You work closely with managers, colleagues, sports clubs, and other collaborating partners. You are based at Lundbybadet but work across the entire city. As a coordinator, you play a key role in coordinating and developing the organization's work for children and young people based on current needs, goals, and strategic priorities.

The work involves both strategic and operational elements where you contribute to developing the operations, strengthening collaboration, and ensuring quality.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will among other things:

• Coordinate and develop activities, events, and initiatives aimed at children and young people.
• Contribute to quality development, follow-up, and evaluation within the operational area.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement development initiatives and projects.
• Monitor the external environment and contribute to the implementation of new working methods and approaches in the operations.
• Collaborate with internal and external actors to create good conditions for the health and leisure time of children and young people.
• Provide support to operations and employees on issues concerning the target group.
• Convene and participate in networks, working groups, and various collaboration forums.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have post-secondary education in public health, health promotion, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working with children and young people. To succeed in the role, we see that you have experience in operational development, coordination, or project management. The role requires good administrative skills and familiarity with working in digital systems. You have good verbal and written communication skills. A Category B driver's license is required so you can travel to our facilities.

We would appreciate it if you have knowledge of health-promoting and preventive work, as well as an understanding of the factors that affect the living conditions and opportunities for an active leisure time for children and young people. It is meritorious if you have experience of collaboration between different operations and actors, as well as work within the public sector. It is also meritorious if you have experience working with target groups with disabilities.

In the role of coordinator, you take initiative, start activities, and achieve results whether you work alone or together with others. You have a strong commitment to your work and a genuine interest in public health issues, driven by creating accessible and inclusive training environments where more people have the opportunity to be physically active. You have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement.

As a coordinator, you take responsibility for your and the group's tasks and follow up on results and how they function in the operations. You build good relationships at the workplace and collaborate well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect.

Conditions

The position is 40 hours/week with a flexible working hours agreement. There is an opportunity to work from home on occasional days, provided the operations allow it. It is an advantage to work on-site and close to the operations.
