Geodata Coordinator at Lantmäteriet

Lantmäteriet is the Swedish Mapping, Cadastre and Land Registration Authority responsible for mapping Sweden. Our mandate also includes registering and securing property ownership and managing boundaries. We are now looking for you who are driven by a strong sense of civic engagement.

To build houses, bridges, and roads, we need deep knowledge of Sweden’s geography and property landscape. By mapping reality and providing up-to-date information about the country’s topography and infrastructure, you will help lay the foundation for a sustainable and functional society.

Responsibilities

As a Geodata Coordinator, you will work at the forefront of digitalizing the societal planning process. A central part of your role is collaborating with municipalities, government agencies, and other stakeholders – sometimes as an advisor and support, and other times in joint projects driving development forward. Special focus will be placed on the National Strategic Plan for the Geodata Area 2026–2030.

In this role, you act as a change leader and are part of the transformation process that digitalization brings to our sector. You will typically operate within a defined region but also take on national assignments. Current priorities include information ecosystems and optimizing information flows through digital processes.

You will contribute to developing Lantmäteriet’s collaboration with municipalities and agencies to establish efficient geodata supply chains and increase its societal use. You will be a key link in communication and training initiatives, actively listening to users’ feedback and needs to relay them effectively to Lantmäteriet.

Since your closest colleagues are located across the country, a significant portion of the work will be performed independently. Digital meetings will naturally be part of your daily routine, along with some travel. Lantmäteriet offers a hybrid work model, allowing you to work both remotely and from the office.

Qualifications & Preferences

We are looking for you with several years of professional experience in the societal planning sector, whether from public, municipal, or private organizations, along with a solid understanding of Lantmäteriet’s role in society. A university degree in societal planning or an equivalent qualification is required.

You have experience leading and inspiring people through change processes and are proactive in demonstrating how digitalization can streamline our daily work.

• A valid B-class driver’s license is mandatory.
• Experience working with societal planning tasks that strengthen organizational crisis and emergency preparedness is a plus.
